SPECIES

COUGAR
Awesome doesn’t even begin to describe this animal. Our cougar population is large and growing. Our liberal season hunts starts in November and goes all winter through to March. This is a great time of year to be in the mountains as few other hunters are out. This hunt is for a mature cougars and also includes an opportunity to hunt a lynx and bobcat.

MOOSE
Our Shiras moose isn't as huge as than the giagantic northern moose but makes a fine trophy on its own merits. We hunt mature bulls only (double brow tine) and have a healthy moose population. We hunt our moose late in the fall so you shouldn’t be surprised to see some snow. It is a nice time of year to be hunting and other animals are often seen.

ELK
Join us for the thrill of a lifetime. BC is one of the few places where elk in the rut can be hunted with a rifle. Our elk population is strong and increasing. We have a trophy (six point) only restriction. In the early season we hunt primarily by bugling. Later on, the spot and stalk method is more successful, although the odd bull may still "light up".

CALIFORNIA BIGHORN SHEEP
The undisputed monarchs of the mountains, bighorn sheep are among the most sought after trophies in North America. In our area there are two distinct sheep herds with stable populations. A successful hunt will take hard work, lots of patience, lots of glassing and more glassing. The season has been limited recently, so check with Jim for availability of tags.

MULE DEER
Thanks to our mild winters, our mule deer herd remains strong in the Okanagan. Many other parts of the province with deep snow have their populations fluctuate with periodic large winter kills. Experiencing the beautiful country where these deer live makes hunting "muleys" an incredible experience.

WHITETAIL DEER
The most sought after big game animal in North America flourishes here as well. Our whitetail herd is strong, with some large bucks taken in the valley every year.

BLACK BEAR
Spring in the mountains is a great time to be hunting. We have a good population of black bears in various colour phases ranging from jet black to blonde. Bring your camera and lots of film, as there will be excellent wildlife viewing as well. This is a great hunt for novice and expert alike. You will have an opportunity to hunt two bears if you want.

OTHER CRITTERS
Our area also contains numerous coyotes and other critters. These animals can be included in any of our hunts at no extra charge.
